What microsoldering involves
Microsoldering is used in board-level work where a component, connector or trace must be reworked at a microscopic level. Examples of applicable work:
- HDMI connector replacement (PS5, Xbox and supported devices)
- USB-C connector replacement and pad repair
- Board connector rework
- Damaged pad and trace repair
- Charging circuit component work
- Power circuit fault assessment and repair
- Small component repair and replacement
Capability does not imply that every device or board can be repaired. All work starts with a diagnostic assessment. If a repair is not viable, the £30 diagnostic fee applies and no further charge is raised.

Diagnostics fee
Microsoldering work always starts with a £30 diagnostic assessment. The fee is deducted if repair proceeds. If not viable, the £30 is the only charge.
WARRANTY
Microsoldering warranty
Standard eligible repairs include a 12-month warranty. Liquid damage and heavily corroded boards carry no warranty. Selected board-level repairs may carry a 3-month override — confirmed at point of repair.

Common questions
Can every board be repaired?
No. Severely damaged boards, heavily corroded traces or missing pads may not be repairable. We will assess honestly.
How long does it take?
Microsoldering timescales depend on fault complexity. We confirm turnaround at point of assessment.

USB-C on my phone — is this microsoldering?
Possibly. USB-C replacement on many modern phones requires board-level work. Start an enquiry and we will confirm.
